Cycles / Cycle 01

Migration / Movement / Belonging / Exclusion

Current cycleSep 2026 – Feb 2027Open call until 30 November 2026

Our first cycle begins with the border: not only the line on a map, but the one we carry into classrooms, kitchens, offices and supermarket queues. We invite contributions that think about moving, arriving, staying, waiting and returning — and about the ways places decide who belongs to them.

  • What does it mean to inhabit a place that does not fully recognise us?
  • How are borders lived in everyday life, long after the checkpoint?
  • How do we feel waiting, transiting, returning — or the impossibility of ever returning?
